Sleepaway Camp (1983)

Slightly disturbed and painfully shy Angela Baker is sent away to summer camp with her cousin. Not long after Angela's arrival, things start to go horribly wrong for anyone with sinister or less than honorable intentions.
This is an interesting film that at times seems rather melancholic and subdued, but steps on the pedal when it comes to the violence. For a slasher movie, the main cast seem younger than your normal 25 year old actors pretending that their teenagers, and this gives it a more uneasy and realistic feel. The ending alone is a memorable enough scene to make it well worth watching if you're a fan of horror... or comedy, it depends which way you look at it.
